In a press release dated June 6, 2023, the Council urged all parties involved in the standoff to maintain composure and restraint.

This comes after the Nogokpo Chiefs gave Archbishop Charles Agyinasare a 14-day ultimatum to appear before them because they were unhappy with the justification he provided for his earlier remark that identified Nogokpo as the headquarters of devils in the Volta Region.

Rev. Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi, the chairman, signed the statement.
