Over the weekend, the host of Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana ran into the former Manchester United manager.

On Thursday, June 8, 2023, Adom-Otchere claimed on his program that when he spoke to Ferguson, the Scottishman was enthusiastic about everything Ghana.

Ferguson, he continued, was enthusiastic about Asante Kotoko’s Nana Yaw Amponsah, the company’s CEO.

“I did meet Nana Yaw Amponsah, the CEO of Kotoko, and Sir Alex Fergusson was enthusiastic about Ghana. He is enthusiastic about everything in Ghana, according to Adom-Otchere.

I related the tale to him. Sammy Kuffour related to me how, in 1999, he motivated the Manchester United team. The team was instructed to go out and win the game in the waning seconds of a 1-1 draw.

“Alex Fergusson had told his boys that yes, there is extra time, but let’s get out there and win it,” Sammy Kuffour said of his mental preparation for extra time.
