On Friday morning in Las Vegas, Davis, who is now 60 years old, was taken into custody.

Tupac Shakur, who was 25 years old at the time, was shot four times before he was killed as he left a boxing fight on the Las Vegas Strip. He died six days later.

Two months have passed since the police raid on Davis’s wife’s Henderson home on July 17.

Authorities described Davis as the suspected mastermind of a scheme to assassinate Tupac Shakur in order to exact revenge on someone who had attacked his nephew during a news conference on Friday. In interviews and in his 2019 autobiography, “Compton Street Legend,” Davis has acknowledged that he was in the front seat of the white Cadillac when shots were fired from the rear seat, killing the musician.

As one of the four early suspects in the case, Duane “Keffe D” Davis had long been the subject of attention by the detectives.
