Aba Dope disowns his father, saying, “He’s no longer my father, he never provided for me.”

On October 14, 2023, she revealed this during an interview on The Delay Show.

Aba Dope said that while her biological father, whose identity she would not divulge, was noticeably missing from her youth, her stepfather, Bannerman Martin, played a big part in her upbringing.

She revealed that he is a twin and runs a bakery and shop in Takoradi where he sells bread and cocoa drinks. She remembered stopping by his store on her way to school as a kid and getting snacks from him.

Her relationship with her biological father, however, changed when he revealed his identity to her and mentioned their prominent physical similarity in being hairy.

The statement made by Aba Dope that she didn’t know he was her father at first till he revealed it was true was corroborated by her mother. Despite the fact that her real father is still alive, she made it clear that she no longer views him as her father because he didn’t provide for or care for her during her upbringing.
