Breast cancer education: Can some deodorants promote the disease?

The usage of certain components in deodorants and antiperspirants, such as aluminum compounds, which are used to block sweat glands and lessen perspiration, is one of the issues surrounding these products.

Some people have expressed worries that these substances could be absorbed through the skin and perhaps build up in breast tissue, causing breast cancer to manifest.

Studies, however, have not offered conclusive proof to support this claim.

If the ingredients in your deodorants or other personal care products worry you, look for alternatives that are more natural or choose those that are marked as aluminum-free.
